Chamonix | Day One

It's been 348 days, the last 14 or so really dragged, since we got back from the last trip to the Alps.

After a experiencing the immensely overcrowded and claustrophobic Luton airport, what seemed like forever sat on the tarmac on a bus to the plane we finally landed in Geneva this morning.

And in Chamonix by 1pm.

It kind of went like this:

Dumped bags at Chamonix Lodge and legged in to Poco Loco and ate (inhaled a burger).

Sat in the sun.

Stared at the mountains.

Was reminded how steep the cable car is up to Aiguille du Midi. And experienced flashbacks.

Stood in Carrefour trying to decide on TMB food that wasn't just Peanut M&Ms.

Found gluten free pasta in France.

Walked around some more.

And got a mild case of heatstroke and nearly passed out in the hostel.

Good times.

Courmayeur to Rifugio Bonatti in the morning.

It's good to be back!
